Fire extinguishers

Portable extinguishers are essential fire-fighting equipment. They are particularly useful in the early stages of a fire, as their portability and immediate availability mean that they can attack the source quickly. They cannot be expected to deal with a large fire as they are essentially first aid fire-fighting appliances with limited capacity. There are three main types of extinguisher Water + additive (AB), powder (ABC) and CO² (B).

Signage

Directly integrated into the fire safety system, like the fire extinguishers, signage plays a decisive role: in the event of a fire, it helps everyone to find the extinguishers, identify the alarms and, above all, take the right route to the exit.

Evacuation plans show the route to be taken to evacuate the building and the location of alarm systems and, if necessary, first response equipment. Intervention plans are intended for people trained to intervene in a disaster: firefighters, second intervention team members.

Fixed equipment

Smoke control

The role of smoke extraction systems is to prevent the confinement of smoke and hot gases in the high points of buildings by controlling air circulation during fires.

RIA-PIA

The purpose of an RIA/PIA installation is to enable initial intervention in fire-fighting until more powerful means can be deployed. With this in mind, the RIA/PIA installation must be dedicated and capable of supplying extinguishing needs for a minimum of 20 minutes.

BAES

Autonomous emergency lighting units (BAES), also known as emergency lighting units, are evacuation light sources designed to illuminate and indicate exits in all types of buildings in the event of emergency evacuation or failure of the main lighting system.

Fire alarms

A fire alarm box, also known as a glass breaker box or DM, is an electrical box that enables any user to detect the start of a fire in a building, trigger its evacuation, and manage the safety of people in the building.
